From mutigers.com. Can't wait for the PowerMizzou scrimmage coverage tommorrow!

COLUMBIA, Mo. – On Thursday of #MIZCamp, the defense had another impressive day, forcing multiple turnovers in 11-on-11 and 7-on-7 situations. Offensively, the Tiger QBs also showed consistency in completing passes on the run to keep the chains moving. Below are some highlights of eighth day of fall camp:

  • During the 7-on-7 portion, the interior defense was stout, plugging running lanes.
  • In 1-on-1 offensive vs. defensive line drills, DL Rickey Hatley and DL Nate Howard both used a spin move to get to the replica QB.
  • WR Johnathon Johnson made a leaping 1-handed grab during passing drills. Johnson also hauled in a diving TD catch from QB Drew Lock in the back corner of the end zone.
  • LB Joey Burkett, LB Clarence Green, SZane Jacoby and DB Trei Walton all intercepted passes during live portions. It was a very team close competition with the defense claiming a 3-1 win during 11-on-11.
  • QB Maty Mauk rolled out to his right and fit the ball into a small space to TEKendall Blanton, who continued for a 20-yard gain. Mauk also threw a short TD pass to TB Tyler Hunt.
  • TB Russell Hansbrough found a running lane on the left side and got to the next level for a 35-yard carry.
  • DE Charles Harris recorded multiple tackles for loss.
  • DL Terry Beckner Jr. consistently was able to get into the backfield to disrupt running plays.
  • QB Corbin Berkstresser threw a TD pass to WR Jake Brents, who was crossing along the back of the end zone.
