I came across an article today ranking the top 100 college basketball transfers for the 2023-2024 season. I was surprised to see Grant Nelson still available. Here's the snippet on Grant Nelson (ranked the 17th best transfer overall):
Grant Nelson, 6-11, PF, Jr., North Dakota State Bison
A potential NBA draft prospect, Nelson burst onto the national radar early in the season thanks to his size, skill set and shooting range out to the perimeter. Earned first-team All-Summit honors after averaging 17.9 points and 9.3 rebounds.
The recent addition of Connor Vanover probably precludes Mizzou from pursuing Grant Nelson, but he sure sounds like an excellent player. In my opinion, you can never have too many "bigs" with the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots.
His 9.3 rebounds per game would be a sight for sore eyes as well.
Just curious, was Mizzou ever mentioned as a possible landing spot for Grant Nelson?
