Vikings gave AP a huge deal in 2011 and only made the playoffs twice over the next six seasons. Both resulted in a loss in the wild card rd. Then they moved on and made the NFC Championship in 2018.
Then the Jets signed Bell to a big deal after his fallout in steel town. Zero playoff appearances. Jets suck.
Then the Rams made a Superbowl, Gurley got paid, the rams missed the playoffs, and Gurley sucked. Now he doesn't even play for them.
Then Dallas paid Zeke and Dallas missed the playoffs in the shittiest division in the NFL.
Then Carolina paid McCaffery. Carolina isn't going anywhere.
