You'd love to see Missouri close the half on a better note and be able to hold off that run, but to be tied on the road in Starkville with nine available players is a very good half.
-We were able to get a small glimpse into what Jeremiah Tilmon can provide when he's able to stay on the floor. If anything, defenders have to focus their attention on him, something they don't have to do with Reed Nikko on the floor.
-Speaking of Nikko, he and Cullen Vanleer have provided what Missouri needs them to. You'd love to have the depth to not need to play those guys extended minutes, but they are where they are. If they can provide minutes without a huge dropoff on the offensive or defensive end, then it's a success.
-Jordan Barnett has to get going here in the second half. Kassius and Jontay played well in the first half, but this team goes as Barnett does. I'll be curious to see if Cuonzo does anything to get him an easy bucket early in the half to get him into a bit of a rhythm.
-I wouldn't expect Missouri to shoot 25% from behind the arc again, so as long as it can keep the Weatherspoon Bros. in check and figure out a way to slow Holman down, I think the Tigers will win this one if they can hit some shots down the stretch. The biggest key to slowing down Mississippi State's offense is keeping them out of transition, and Missouri has done a nice job of that so far.
