That was awful. I mean, it got a little better in the last eight minutes or so, but the first 10-12 were about the worst basketball I've seen in the last two and a half years here. There was no coherent plan on offense, the defense was getting abused and Butler was making absolutely everything.

Now, Missouri deserves credit for clawing back a bit. But as much as it seemed like they outplayed Butler over the last 10 minutes, they're still down 12 and they had to expend a TON of energy to get that far. It's really, really tough to come back from this big a deficit, especially against a team that won't panic. The slow starts have been kind of a thing this year.

Dru Smith was awesome. Easily the best Missouri player on the night. I'm sitting next to a coach from OU who has been very impressed with him. Parker Braun was probably the second best player.

Missouri isn't going to win many games when Mark Smith has as many turnovers as points in the first half.

Jeremiah Tilmon was bad Jeremiah with two early fouls, a turnover and not a single shot.

Javon Pickett didn't play for about the last 17 minutes. I don't think he is quick enough to play against this Butler backcourt.

Thought Xavier Pinson did some good things after a terrible start and Tray Jackson gave a few good minutes. Gonna take one hell of an effort to make this one interesting late.
