I just don't understand the expectations of some people as it relates to this team this year. Martin took over a complete dumpster fire last year and made a splash with a once in a lifetime opportunity in the Porters. That was all fools gold as some have stated. The reality is this is year one plus Tillman.
If you look around the SEC you want to compare him to some of the other programs that were really bad and now are in the Top 25. The fact is most of those are in year 3-4 with the new coach. Take 3 great examples with 2 being coaches who many here wanted. Below is their record at their current school. Put that against were Martin is and it doesn't look like we are far from where we should be.

It took all of them at least 2 years to even get to 16 wins. We luckily did that in year one and if Jontay is playing we probably get to 20 in year 2 also. We may still have another year similar to this year before the tide turns. If it doesn't then it is time to question the direction but at this point it still is what it is. Hell Martin has had a 20 win season at every school he has coached at in two years or less.
