Let me start by saying I have always been neutral on Kim Anderson. Wasn't in love with the hire, but generally wanted him to do good and for Missouri basketball to get get back to where it should be. With that said, this is pitiful. The state of Mizzou basketball is absolutely pitiful. Regardless of how this game ends, we should never be down by 10 to Tulane. This team has not reached the NCAA tournament in 21 years. I know this is only the 4th game of the season, but to me it is pretty clear what type of team we have. Cullen Vanleer is such a waste of a body, and I don't understand what he does to virtually never leave the floor. Sure he makes an occasional three, but he constantly get blown by defensively and his lack of athleticism is exposed. I have never seen a team that struggles to simply get a decent shot off as much as Missouri. It also seems like a recurring theme that our opponent shoots lights out; maybe Mizzou is just terrible defensively. This team's success is limited to what Frankie Hughes will be able to do. If Frankie puts up game 1 and 2 numbers, Mizzou will compete. Reality is though that he is a freshman and that is not going to happen every night. This isn't going to work. I hope they prove me wrong.
