Many people will get upset by what is said here, however I am simply passing along bits of information that I have heard since the DRF era started. I have been reluctant to say any of this while she was at the helm as my sources are close enough I never wanted to risk anything getting out.
Starting on Day1 she did a complete over haul of the department. Many people lost their jobs, including some that many within the department were shocked by. This ranged from associate ADs, all the way down to PA announcers. Change isn't always a bad thing, but it was a lot in a short amount of time, many people were left wondering if it was simply a power grab.
So that's how her tenure started. By firing many people, and leaving the people who did stay, with a feeling of uncertainty that their job too would soon be taken. On top of this, rumor is she ruled with an Iron Fist. Unrealistic office hours were expected, considering the weekend and night time hours that the job also requires. People never felt that their job was safe, and any sort of miss step (at least a perceived mis-step in the eyes of DRF) would result in their termination. She led the department with fear.
As it relates to specific programs. I know for a fact, that over two seasons of baseball, she never went to a SINGLE game, except for the SEC tournament this past year, where she sat IN the dugout with the team, and was very vocal.
***Amending as she did attend games. It was still few and fair between, specifically in '23. Should not have exaggerated. But that was how information was presented to me***
Many players deemed this annoying and distracting. They also knew, her support was fake, as it was the first games she had attended in over two seasons. She also was shocked to find out that the baseball team drove to Hoover, while every other SEC baseball program flew. It's literally her job to know that stuff. Before last baseball season, a certain coach who no longer works for us asked her, "What do I need to do to keep my job?" She told him, "Make it to the College World Series."
I know similar things happened with the other programs. Dennis was the only one who kind of owed her since she hired him. But pretty much every other HC at Mizzou did not like that she was their boss. Eli, Robin, and Brian Smith included. So from coaches, athletes, employees, BOC members, and large donors all not liking her, I'm surprised this took this long.
She did a GREAT job treating the media. And I think that was by design. Own the media, control the narrative....
I do think she did some great things here. But with her now out of the picture, I think many of things are going to come to light and in the long wrong, we will be glad this happened.
