The Spirit of Qatar hit 244mph in 2014 in the last year of the mile course at the shootout. Everyone thought the 244 would stand forever because of the shortening of the course, but America One has other plans.
America One debuted this weekend and didn't get an official run in, but we hit 202 according to our onboard data. It's going to hit a few more shootout style races across the country in the next year, and the record is coming home to America in 2025.
