Homecoming Parade

I'll be attending homecoming this year w/ my family and another family (not-Mizzou alums). We'll have 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-13). We are going to the parade Saturday morning and need some advice on what time to arrive. The parade starts at 9:00am. Would getting parked at 8:30am give us enough time to find a nice spot to stand?

I haven't been to the parade in years, so I have no idea how crowded it gets.
