OFF TOPIC Hotels in Louisville KY

I am going to be in Louisville in a few weeks near the YUM Center... have any of you stayed in the city, and is there anyplace you recommend or recommend we stay away from? Have an event that night, so just looking for close, comfortable, safe, affordable.
