Mack Rhoades has to be squarely on the SEC's radar as a suspect AD who lacks basic leadership qualities and is a weak decision maker.
Before Mike Slive retired, he said the SEC must improve in basketball, and that starts with stepping up coaching salaries & selection, facilities improvements, and listening to the fans. What did Mike Alden do? Of course he immediately went out and hired a D2 head coach. Knowing this emphasis remains, your boy Rhoades now doubles down on that mistake, further putting a target on Mizzou's back when it comes to increased conference scrutiny and decreased overall program respect.
Now the SEC goes off and hires Mike Tranghese, who ran one of the most successful basketball conferences in the NCAA for ten years, to fix their problems. Rhoades better bring a notepad and pen with him to take detailed notes when he gets his ass chewing and schooling from Tranghese. I'm guessing this shit hurricane at Mizzou Arena will be his first stop. Thank God someone is at least showing they care about our basketball program, even if it's at the conference headquarters.
