I was listening to a podcast and they brought up the touchdown/touchback rule and I know this has a split opinion.
I believe if you reach out over the goal line and fumble through the end zone you SHOULD lose possession. If the ball crosses the goal line it’s a TD. Football is risk and reward. You can’t risk something and only get a reward and not actually risk anything. And no you shouldn’t retain the ball in any matter. Not at the goal line. Not at your own 20. Not getting the ball where you started the play from.
What’s your opinion and why?
