Howard Richards, former offensive lineman for the Missouri Tigers and Dallas Cowboys, will be the guest speaker at the Tiger Club of KC on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

Howard played at Mizzou from 1977-80 before becoming the Cowboys first-round draft pick. Today he serves dual roles for his alma mater: He is entering his eighth year as the football analyst on the Tiger Radio Network, and he serves as MU's Assistant Athletics Director for Community Relations in his hometown of St. Louis.

“We are very excited to have Howard on board to assist us in our efforts in St. Louis,” said Mizzou AD Jim Sterk when he announced Howard’s hiring in January 2017. “There’s no question that he loves Mizzou, and I know he will work very hard to represent us well in his hometown … and that he will help us make inroads there. He’s got an infectious personality, great people skills, and a very well-rounded background, and I know those will be great assets for this role.”

When his NFL career ended, Howard had a 13-year career as a special agent with the CIA before moving into the private real estate industry for nine years. In May 2015, he returned to Mizzou as the College of Arts and Science senior manager for external relations in St. Louis.

The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at Noon. On Tuesday, September 18, our guest speaker will be Dennis Dodd, National college football writer for CBS Sports.
