I'm writing an entire column on this with multiple coaches' comments, but here's what Odom said in response to my question:

"I’m really excited about the guys we got out of the state. I’m also, I want guys that want to be at the University of Missouri too. I feel very strongly about our program, the foundation that we’re on and the direction that we’re going. You also look at the number, you take the guys that you decide to recruit and there also needs to be some things done out there, there’s a lot of people that throw out he’s got an offer and he doesn’t have an offer and what’s a committable offer and what’s this and what’s that. If the University of Missouri is putting out an offer, especially in state, they can come here anytime. That’s near and dear to me because your word means something. Or it better. Especially in state. I’m excited, like I said, about the guys we’ve got. We’ve got work to do in every area. In-state, out of state, but also the commitment and the things we have done over the last few months and will continue to do, the brand of getting Mizzou kids to stay at Mizzou, we’re gonna get there. And the sooner that we identify guys and get them on campus and continue to build and have real relationships with them, it’s going to turn. We’ll go to work on next year’s class and the year after that and I like the direction that we’re going and how we’re structuring some different things in our recruiting department and touching those guys in state with as many people as we can. It’s gonna help us in the long run."
