In the early years of my life (60’s & 70’s) I fell in love with Mizzou football They were often good and always interesting. They played the big boys and often won. The biggest one that I remember was the 1976 Monday night nationally televised game versus Alabama, in Birmingham, with Bear Bryant on the sideline for the tide. The Tigers physically manhandled the Tide all night to a victory.
Then the dark years happened after 1983 and college football became an activity I took in on a casual basis when an interesting game was on tv. An Ohio State/Michigan, Catholics versus Convicts, Army/Navy, Texas/Oklahoma.
Then in 2001, HCGP came along and made me care about Missouri Football. It became my Saturday destination. Even traveling to road games, bowl games, buying season tickets and contributing to TSF.
But because of that, the last 8 years, every Saturday in September, October and November I go to bed pi$$ed. I blame you HCGP for making Missouri Football matter in my life.
