Gentlemen,

In lieu of the reports that Coach Jamieson is retiring reported on Rock-M-Nation...please consider Steve Bieser, current Head Baseball Coach at SEMO as a candidate for the job.

No guy can do MORE with LESS than Steve Bieser. He would not bat an eye about facilities, budget, weather disadvantges, or any other supposed "shortcomings" that the Mizzou Baseball program has compared to it's SEC rivals.

Rather he would roll up his sleeves and relish the opportunity to Coach his home State University in the best College Baseball Conference inAmerica.

Having coached and personally known him for the past 24 years I can say without question that he is a top notch Baseball man and one of the most quality people I have ever known.

It is Steve's DREAM JOB to be the Head Baseball Coach at the University of Missouri and to win a College World Series for his home state.

Steve was a "self made" player who defied the odds by going from a 120 lb. HS Senior...to JeffCo and Mineral Area...to SEMO...and then defying odds as a 32nd round draft pick in 1989...went on to a 13 year career in Major League baseball.

After MLB...he started as an assistant Baseball Coach/Math teacher at Vianney...and then moved up to Head Coach there and won two Missouri HS State Title there in four years.

From there...he moved on to his alma mater at SEMO as a hitting Coach...and has been Head Coach there the last four years and won THREE consecutive Ohio Valley Conference Championships for the RedHawks.

In short...I think the following make him a GREAT candidate for Mizzou should the Head Coaching Position ever open up for the following reasons:

1) GREAT person and Family man who who you would be proud to have represent your school! Players LOVE to play for him and thrive under his caring/teaching leadership style.

2) TREMENDOUS Baseball knowledge...he was primirily a Catcher/Outfielder in the Pros...but actually played at ALL NINE positions during his career including a few appearances as a pitcher.

3) He is EVERYTHING in one package...a great recruiter and evaluator of talent...a great teacher of all the skills...and one of the best motivators and handler's of young men that I have ever known. He pushes all the right buttons with kids to bring the best out of each and every one of them.

4) FANTASTIC work ethic and organization. He pours his heart and soul into everything he does and never loses sight of his vision and goals.

Here are just a few links with more info on Steve.

Respectfully submitted,
