So the Athletic has a story by Peter Gammons and the upshot is that Brady texted Ichiro about stretching techniques. Brady explained that he got Ichiro's number from A-Rod. Ichiro not recognizing the number scrolled down to the bottom to see who it's from. Telling another coach about it, the coach asked who it's from. Ichiro replies, "Some guy named Tom Brady. Who the f**k is Tom Brady?"
Ichiro has now moved up my list higher no matter whether he really didn't know Brady (excellent focus) or he does and is messing with everyone.
