Watching the Illinois-Wisconsin game for some reason.
-Wisconsin is shooting about 64% up by 20 half way through the 2nd. Hard to understand Mizzou’s first half against Illinois. Illini pressure D has been solved easily.
- I have questions about Mark Smith. Not athletic. Foul prone. Inefficient off the dribble. Don’t think Mizzou missed on him.
- I haven’t seen Leron Black miss a shot yet, since the opening tip of the Mizzou game.
- Players are playing Underwood’s system, but not HARD, with belief and desire. His guys don’t seem to react in a positive way to him on the sideline. They’re mailing in the 2nd half after going in done by 10. Compare that to Mizzou’s reaction going in to the half down by 20 to them.
-They’ll be 0-7 in the B1G. Lost some close ones but we know about that here, you’re losing them for a reason. 10-10 on the season
Does it feel good? Yes, but that’s not the point. Let’s suppose for a moment the shine is wearing off of Underwood in Chicago very quickly with this record and the Ayo Dosunmo fiasco. The brewing legal turmoil at SLU has to have current players and recruits rethinking their commitment.
Mizzou is in line for the motherlode of recruit hauls in the St. Louis and Chicago areas over the next three classes if this holds. I’m going to make a reasonable prediction that this puts this program into Top 10 finishes each of those years with one Final Four appearance.
