Dooley has improved our offense with use of formations last year and this season BUT he has NOT put KB in the best situations that fit his talents. He is not a pocket passer like D. Lock. Needs Rollout, bootleg, counter trey type plays that if things do not open up run is possible. As gfuray said if he pocket passes unload OR run sooner. Bailing and scrambling from deep dropbacks sometimes works but bad outcomes can result in loss of field position, FG range and QB fumbles returned for TD. We have not yet run as good a read option as our opponents. Either it is not part of our offense OR opponents are better at manipulating our DEs. All this is opinion of qualified know it all.
