First, I think CM has done a good job with this young team. But good god he needs to watch other teams inbound plays and work on this important part of the game. It was a huge factor in losing yesterday. I haven’t rewatched the game to count, but I can think of 4 inbounds plays (2 by each team) that led to 9 Ole Miss points. Twice we inbounded the basketball that led to run outs for ole Miss. Once on a long inbounds pass thrown into the back court and once when we inbounded to a falling out of bounds TW, which he had to blindly throw himself before going out of bounds.

Twice ole Miss got wide open looks by well designed plays (1 for a wide open 3 off a triple pick and 1 on a screen the screener play for a wide open lay in).

Inbounds plays are to basketball, what special teams are to football. It’s often the difference between winning and losing.
