Do you think the top brass believes in their business model?
Yes, we all know these are all higher education institutions and it's ultimately about students athletes growing as people and getting an education. That's all fine and dandy, I agree.
But, what they are doing is horrible for business in my opinon. I know schools have to be kept in check, but there needs to be reform for consistent punishment. As it stands, the NCAA seemingly playing favorites is not a good business model. Maybe in the short term (for themselves), yes. However, they are starting to lose the absolute diehards, like me. University and state officials (even in kansas) are blasting the NCAA publicly like I've never seen before.
Is the NCAA going to listen? Ever? I hope so, it's so much better than pro sports, and has the potential to be so much better.
