Cece Jefferson was considered a potential first-round draft pick last year but ultimately opted to return to Florida for his senior season. Today, he said the Missouri game last season made the decision for him. I asked him why.
“Did you watch it? Go watch it again but just watch me. Man, it was some things that happened in that game, I was just like, no way. If these Missouri guys are doing it to you, I know what these NFL guys will do. I just had to be real with myself. I wasn’t going to lie to myself about something as big as going to the NFL or coming back to college. I felt like this year can help me in many ways, which it is doing, and so, hey man, I’m happy I came back, but that Missouri game was definitely one of the main reasons.”
He also assured me he'll be extra fired up for this year's matchup.
