When I heard Saturday that we ran 100 offensive plays, I looked up some stats from 2015. Below are the stats:
Of the top 10 teams on average number of plays - all of these Teams made it to a bowl game.
Tulsa - Avg 86.3 plays. 6 - 7 record
Arizona State - Avg 85.7 plays. 6-7 record
Texas Tech - Avg 85.2 plays. 7-6 record
Baylor - Avg 85.1 plays. 10-3 record
Boise State - Avg 84.8 plays. 9-4 record
TCU - Avg 84.3 plays, 11-2 record
Bowling Green - Avg 83.7 plays, 10-4 record
West Virginia - Avg 83.7 plays, 8-5 record
Washington St - Avg. 83.1 plays, 9-4 record
Cincinnati - Avg 82.9 plays, 7-6 record
I am excited that we are playing an up tempo offensive scheme this year. Keep the scheme going. Hopefully we will score more points.
