I listen to Gary Barnett often on 810. He does a college football segment on the Border Patrol every week. (Thursdays, I think)
His feeling is that the second year is the hardest year for new head coaches. And he thought BEFORE the season that Odom would have a tough go of it this year. Said it happens all the time in these cases.
I'm not advocating that we retain him but Gary Barnett (a Mizzou alum by the way, and a really good football coach) might know a little something that a lot of us don't.
