If the Chiefs trade Smith(I think they will), Bray is a free agent and the Chiefs aren’t bringing him back and Mahomes takes over as the starter the Chiefs are going to need a backup and a development QB.
If Lock decides to go pro, I could see Reid taking a flyer on Lock in the 4th if he is still sitting there. Granted the Chiefs don’t have a plethora of picks, but I think that’s an ideal situation for Lock.
