With that in mind does MU really have to wait for a full time replacement for the University President position to name their next AD. Realize it's probably likely and would make sense, but why wait if you find the right person and want to move forward. If MU waits for a full time President it could be next Spring before they get a full time AD. Each AD will have their own style and agenda. Considering Rhoades time of 14 months and this delay you have about two years of "dead" time before you get your next AD in place. For those of us that have followed MU for many years this starts to bring back bad memories of Barbara Uehling and MU's search for a football coach in the 1980's. Different circumstances, but a delay meant potentially excellent hires were not considered because of the delay in the hiring process. Yes, I realize some AD's will be "scared off" until they know who their boss will be - but the right AD with experience and confidence may not care and may be willing to take a chance and moved forward for the right job.
