So … 15 minutes after the Mizzou women made history, Richardson High School (my other alma mater) knocked off Duncanville High, also the No. 1 team in the country, also in OT. RHS is no slouch at No. 7 in the country and No. 2 in the state of Texas, behind Duncanville. (We’re about to have a new No. 1.) In November, the Eagles thumped the No. 1 prep team in the country, Compass (Ariz), 61-38.
I’ve been to an RHS game and will be back for more. Eagles have a couple of future SEC players on the roster. Cason Wallace, the top player in the state, can do it all. He’s headed to Kentucky. Rylan Griffen has signed with Alabama. Fun team. Fun times.
