Barry Odom's time as the head coach at the University of Missouri will mercifully come to an end some time in the next 7 days.
I really and truly wish this had NOT come to this. By almost all accounts, our coach is a good guy and really loves Mizzou.
But he has failed on the big time stage as a head coach, and there are not simple explanations for how it would suddenly, mysteriously change.
We've seen what he is as a head coach---and it is mediocre.
If that is deemed to be ok by the powers that be at MIZZOU, then almost half the fan base will check out. And, this is not the typical bandwagon fan who has had enough. These are some of the lifers--folks who have arranged almost every weekend around Mizzou football.
If that's ok with Sterk, go ahead and fire up the extension of Barry Odom.
If it's not ok, you have one choice.
As a competent AD, you have a clear list of potential candidates--now is the time for action.
