I'm sure I missed this when he joined the team, but I had no idea Johnny Roland's grandson was on the football team. Then on Saturday, they called Adam Roland with the seniors and he was wearing 23. I thought, "hmm." Then I saw the great picture of him crying and a few tweets about wanting to wear his grandfather's number for Senior Day although his jersey is 61.
Johnny Roland was a childhood hero for me with the Big Red/Cardiac Cardinals. So many great memories of going to those game with my dad.
