We kicked off the football season yesterday with the Tiger Club of KC's SEC Block Party at Chicken N Pickle. Eight schools were represented at the 12th annual event, initially held with our move to the SEC.
As usual, our first speaker will be Mizzou's Athletic Director. This year, Laird Veatch makes his first appearance at our Tuesday, August 27 luncheon ... just two days before the season opener. Laird will be followed this Fall by Tiger greats Chase Coffman, Howard Richards and Gary Barnett. And new speakers will include Paul Zeeck to talk college conferences and Andrew Carter to talk NIL and sports marketing.
Luncheons are held at Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill, 817 Westport Rd., Kansas City, MO 64111. Lunch is served starting at 11:30 am (you can get there anytime after that), with the program running from Noon to 1 pm. Cost for lunch and the program is $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
