It was somewhat brought up in the Barrett thread but is this the way to go to reconstruct the roster fastest and most effectively? Everyone sat we have to let a number of players go but you can't have an entire team of freshman.
If anyone can sell playing time it's this program so shouldn't we be stealing guys who are transfers and jucos whos biggest goal is to prove themselves? It worked for Snyder but will it work in the SEC?
And be for you say it I'm not saying this is how you make the program work long term. You do it until your classes catch up. Then supplement when needed.
This team lacks experience and maturity as much or more than depth. The guys Barry has brought have talent not experience. In two years I think Crockett, Mason, Johnson, Garrett, Lock, and the rest of the young guns will be studs and leaders but they only show flashes now. Fill the roster with your guys who buy in. And let those guys develop.
