I think it may be a bit salty. I loved the 3rd down package the second half of the season. I don't think it was just the young players learning as the season went. I think it was the coaches finding out some of the young guys are pretty freaking good.
Moving Kaleb Prewett back to his natural position was also an immediate upgrade. TBJ coming back is obvious. Anytime you add a possible first rounder in the middle of your d-line, well...
Add the bowl experience and practices for guys like Chris Turner, Akial Byers and Tre Williams, and year of experience in the system for the juco guys, Rashad Brandon and Walter Palmore, along with addition of a hungry, talented Antartica, and it is exciting. We will miss A.J. Logan and and Anthony Sherrills big time, but we have some depth and experience on the line I don't recall having for a while. The freshman really played higher than their stars this year, and I have to give Odom credit for finding jucos to bolster the line. (And I was bummed about the one we lost to Oregon...Palmore's buddy, name escapes me.)
Terez Hall also seems to be ready for a break out senior year. He was at times our best player.
