Not shocked by the result. Kansas State is a good team. When they shoot the way they shot tonight, they're an elite team. Dean Wade hadn't made a three in K-State's first four games. He was 4-6 tonight. Cats as a team were 12-24. I'm sure some of those had to do with Mizzou's defense, but sometimes the other guys make shots too.

Missouri's not going to win many games in which Jeremiah Tilmon scores two points, gets four rebounds and fouls out. All the talk about how he knows he can't foul and he's working on it and he starts practice with three fouls is fine. But it has to translate at some point. Since I was listening and not watching, I can't really tell you if all five were deserved tonight, but I figure at least some of them were.

Some good things from Xavier Pinson tonight with 12 points.

More good things from Reed Nikko, who was Missouri's best big man. The Tigers probably won't win often when that's the case...but I think it's pretty obvious at this point he's the second best big man. Mitchell Smith just isn't there yet.

Jordan Geist had a hell of a tournament. 24 points tonight. 45 in two games including 19-25 from the free throw line. He's going to need help though. You can't ask him to do that and run the point every night.

Tonight was a learning experience. You'd like to have been a little bit more competitive, but it's not a game I expected Missouri to win. Learn some lessons and move on. Temple next Tuesday night should be a good test. We'll see where they're at.
