Back by popular demand, the Kansas City Star's Vahe Gregorian was today's guest speaker at the Tiger Club of KC at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. (Besides Vahe’s appearance, this was a special day at the Flea for another reason, as owner and proud Mizzou alum Joe Zwillenberg celebrated another anniversary of his 29th birthday!)
Vahe is a five-time winner of the National Sports Media Association’s Missouri Sportswriter of the Year, including last year. Vahe, who holds an MA in Journalism (1988) from the University of Missouri, joined the Star in 2013 after more than two decades with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He is the author of several books (including one of fellow Mizzou alum Gary Barnett) and was nominated for a Pulitzer in 2000 while on the east side of the state.
The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday at the Flea. Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m. with the program beginning at Noon. Next week’s guests will be Carrington Harrison, of Sports Radio 610’s 'The Drive,' and Jarrett Sutton, former Mizzou basketball player and current SECNetwork Analyst.
