Heres the breakdown in the second half to let you know how the O-Line faired in half number 2 and maybe why Dooley had Lock roll out to pass
7 carries 14 yards
2 sacks allowed
Yes, I’m omitting Crockett’s carry of 10 yards bc it came on a first and 20 and Kentucky was playing very loose expecting pass...
So when it came crunch time our line blocked well enough for 7 carries 14 carries and allowed 2 sacks.
i think there’s a ton of blame to go around.. I think Dooley deserves about 15%, O Line deserves about 25%, Lock deserves about 25 percent, and the defensive play calling deserves 35% whether that’s Odom or Walters.
the 3rd and 2 call isn’t the problem.. The execution was the problem.. I get that if you run they burn a timeout and all that.. Our defense at times has been carved up with the pass.. We didn’t truly stop the pass at all Saturday.. Terry Wilson was 22-31 and he’s absolutely terrible and that’s his numbers verse us.. You’ve got to trust that Drew has a better IQ and decision making ability to execute the plan.
