WALTON TO PLAY IN ALL-STAR GAMES FRIDAY, SATURDAY
Mizzou freshman guard to represent Indiana in two games vs. Kentucky All-Stars
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Men’s Basketball freshman guard K.J. Walton will play for the 2015 IndyStar.com Indiana Boys All-Stars in this weekend’s Annual Indiana Versus Kentucky All-Star Games. The yearly exhibition enters its 75th contest with a member of head coach Kim Anderson’s 2015 recruiting class taking part in the action.
Selected to the all-star team following his excellent senior campaign at Brownsburg High School, Walton’s squad will play at 8 p.m. Friday in Transylvania University’s Beck Center in Lexington, Ky. The Tiger newcomer will play in his native state on Saturday with a 7 p.m. start set at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind.
Walton averaged 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for Brownsburg head coach Steve Lynch as a senior, helping the team to back-to-back sectional titles in the process.
