1. MU has lower overall athletic program revenues.
2. MU doesn't truly bring any TV market solely. It doesn't have KC (that's KU's) and the STL market already has Illinois and Washington University as a presence. And St. Louis cares more about where you went to high school than college.
3. MU's basketball program is second-tier, to be generous. KU? No need to clarify.
4. MU's football program is now merely average after being a dumpster fire. Don't give me the bowl years, as I can reply with the Mangino years. The difference between the football programs is in degrees.
5. AAU? MU is ranked BELOW KU in AAU status.
The only reason MU is in the SEC is that they were very proactive in getting out of the B12. KU sat on it's hands because it they decided to tie themselves to OU and TX.
