Is Mizzou unique, especially in the SEC, in it's lack of State and School loyalty/pride? Most parents aren't saying if Mizzou offers you go. Even though It's the only div 1 football program in the state, not many states can say that. Yet growing up here there's no push to go to Mizzou it's perhaps even the opposite unless your parents are an alum. It seems to be a major hurdle, also to many close options and less general fervor for the state/school you grew up in. More interested in responses from those who grew up in or lived in other states.
