LaPlante left after three mediocre innings and just 49 pitches. The left-hander owns a 3.60 ERA on the season. I'm not sure if there's an injury concern at play or what here.
Sophomore outfielder Alex Peterson, who strained his hamstring against Florida A&M, isn't listed as a starter this weekend either.
