Hey there ladies & gents! I know today is gameday and all of our attention is in other places, but I just wanted to put it out there that I'm looking for about 8-10 more players for a last-minute fantasy football league I'm putting together.
I usually do my league every year, but I lost a bet to my wife and she wanted her prize to be no fantasy football for me this season... But this morning, I just won another bet and now fantasy is back on for me... I joined a couple of my friends leagues and now I wanna do my own. I know this is really last minute, but I've got 4 players and I'm looking for 8-10 more if anybody's interested.
Ideally, I'd like to have 14 players. That way, we could have a full 13-week regular season, where every team plays every other team once and there'll be no bye weeks... The top 8 teams will make the playoffs, with the final two advancing to our version of the Super Bowl.
Our league will be a money league, with a $50 buy-in. With 14 players, that'll give us $700 in prize money to play with, which will be divvyed up like this...... League champ gets a $500 prize, 2nd place takes home $150, and the 3rd place winner will win their original $50 back..... It's that simple.
If we don't get to 14, I guess 8 players would work with a 14-week regular season (everybody would play everybody else twice) and the top 4 teams would make the playoffs... The money prize would be different but we can deal with that if 8 is the number we have to go with.
Hopefully though, there's enough of u out there that's interested that we can do the full 14... I've got the draft set up for Wednesday night at 9... I could change that if necessary, but that really is about the latest we could do it and still have it be before the 1st game on Thursday.
