I want Cuonzo to succeed so bad because I think he is a great person to lead the program. Unfortunately that doesn’t necessarily make you a great basketball coach. His misses in the past to make the team deeper have showed up recently in the losses. Buggs, Wilmore, Chang and a combo of Watson/Braun are not the combo at the end of the bench on good teams. Mitchell Smith and Javon Pickett type players shouldn’t receive this amount of minutes. Mark Smith should be a dude off the bench as your fourth or fifth guard. I think he desperately needs to change something and I think that’s cutting ties with a few assistants maybe as a last resort.
