Who most on here would consider a very good coach, received a 5 year extension today. He didn’t make an NCAA tournament until YEAR 7(!!!) at Florida State. Now he is about to win the ACC again.
This is the argument for letting a guy build his program and sticking through some tough seasons. They could have easily fired him after year 3 or 4, but they stuck with him. Now he has Florida State rolling year in and year out.
Not saying Cuonzo Martin is Leonard Hamilton, but I at least thinks it’s something interesting to think about for those who want to jump from coach to coach so quickly.
