I saw a good stat but it's a few years old. Les Miles is the only coach to beat Alabama, Auburn, LSU and Florida in the same season. And he did it 3 times: 05,07 and 11.
Miles also has 15 wins over coaches that have National championships.
LSU has 3 natty"s in their history and Miles has one of them. A guy named Saban another. He also lost a national championship game.
I think those criticizing this coach don't realize the quality of opponents he has played and the level of winning he has experienced.
He had 10 plus wins in 7 years at LSU. The only other coaches to do that in the SEC are Steve Spurrier, Bear Bryant, Mark Richt, Dooley and Saban. He also won 9 games twice.
Also I did some more research regarding his days at OK st and he knocked the Sooners off twice on the road when they were ranked #3 In the Country.
The guy wins. Period. Not wins at a Pinkel level but wins at an elite level.
