Been on the board for a little over a year, but first post so take it easy.
The best year of Mizzou football in awhile was built on two things: The Brotherhood and STP.
A week ago we were all about The Brotherhood and the guys coming back for another year because of that Brotherhood. Do we think that BB was the guy that created the Brotherhood? If he is/was the one (or any other single coach/player) holding the Brotherhood together Mizzou is never going to sustain the momentum and success. Everyone leaves at some point.
BB leaving plays straight into STP. We have loved the mini movies and what Drink says. Now Drink gets to go to all of these defensive guys and say “Now you have something to prove. Prove to the world that you are a great player and it wasn’t just a coach that made this defense great.” We are going to find out which guys truly believe in STP.
Let’s all let Drink play chess and do what he has shown he can do and continue building a program. In the mean time let’s all keep playing checkers because it makes for fun discussion and some crazy things being said.
