With Edwardsville guard and former Mizzou baseball commit picking up an offer from Illinois in basketball, it's a shame we are lagging so far behind. Illinois is being led by Malcolm Hill, and have Pickett and tillmon coming there way this year with the number 8 class in the country. They offerred Smith and will most likely land 3 highly rated basketball players from the metro east. Slu is landing all others it seems like. What has happened that we are so irrelevant in a major sport anymore. This kid for example was committed as a baseball players and top teams in the country are stopping by to see him, yet not one Mizzou coach has checked in with a kid that wanted to go to your school for another sport. I don't think some realize how far behind we are falling. I know we can't get all five stars but these kids we are bringing in like a cvl aren't even in the same category as local kids we aren't even checking in on. It's mind boggling, we need a change quick and Sterk has it work cut our for him. These stories just piss me off.
