No matter how you slice it or dice it this whole fiasco by the athletic department is a horrible look.
I don't know if one of the BOC members let this leak out to light a fire or it just happened to slip out.
On top of that the list is horrible. Even if it's just a test balloon why even act like you're considering these guys?
I think it's becoming more evident that Sterk's ego was hurt or odom's and this was bound to happen. Thus Sterk cut the cord with no actual plan heading into the coaching carousel. He just figured anything was better than Odom.
Of the three guys mentioned (Monken, Holtz, and Anderson) I'm not excited about any of them. Anderson is the only one I'd give a chance but it's still a failure. Personally I like the guy and his story is sad so I'll be pulling for him but it's a business and I don't think his resume screams "I'm better than Odom".
Was this leak let out by Sterk so he could provoke someone into lending a hand in money or is the BOC really calling out Sterk on his incompetence?
Either way even if you liked any of the guys on your list now you're really screwed.
I think the only way you go from here is finding a OC on a P5 squad with success like Jeff Scott or Sark or a coach like harsin if there is one still out there.
