I have seen Inherent Vice and Foxcatcher in the last two weeks...my opinion on both.

IV: Incredibly entertaining first hour that seemed to disappear in a haze of smoke (although, to be fair, I think that was partially the goal). Joaquin is one of my favorite actors on the scene right now, and he was in his element as Doc. Also, there is some great nudies in it. I'll give it a B-.

Fox: Full disclosure, I am only 28, but I cannot believe I had never heard this story before this film started getting publicity. It is one of those historical moments that, if it hadn't actually happened, would have made for terrible fiction, as it would have seemed too outlandish. The performances in this were exceptional. As a huge Office & Michael Scott fan, I was concerned I wouldn't be able to handle Carell In this role...I was wrong. Even Channing Tatum was fantastic. Ruffalo was the puzzle piece that held the film at it's height...one of the better supporting roles I have seen in awhile. A- in my book.

Any one got opinions on these or others?
