Should probably first say that I don't feel like this is an overly talented Mizzou football team at the moment. But at the same time I've wondered if it's really as bad as some have made it out to be. Thought it would be interesting to take a glance at the recruiting classes that make up this current team to study it a little further. You can draw your own conclusions off of it.

2013:
- The last of a nearly extinct bunch, this class had 21 signees that ranked 41st nationally according to Rivals. 9 of those 21 would leave the program in some fashion or another.
- As it relates to our current squad, the 2013 class accounts for 3 starters on the most recent depth chart, with another 2 on the depth chart overall.
- 28 signees in this group overall, good for the 34th best class per Rivals. 12 of those would leave or be dismissed.
- This class is currently responsible for 4 starters on the most recent depth chart, with another 5 players making the depth overall.
2015:
- Here's where things start to get interesting for me. These guys would represent your Junior/RSSO class on the current roster.
- 25 signees overall and the 27th best class in the country according to Rivals. That's good for the 3rd best Mizzou Football recruiting class of the Rivals Era, trailing only 2008 (25th) and 2010 (21st). By my count 8 of the 25 signees have since left the program.
- This class is responsible for 7 current starters on this weeks depth chart to go with another 5 players on the two deep.
- The current coaching staff's first class had 22 signees and was rated 47th in the country by Rivals.
- This class boasts 8 starters on the most recent depth chart, the most of any class on this list, and has another 4 guys in the two deep.
- 4 class recruiting ranking average: 37th
- 2013-2015 (Pre-Odom) recruiting ranking average: 34th
- 2016-2017 (Current staff) recruiting ranking average: 48th
- 2013-2014 classes responsible for 7 current starters (31%) and 7 two deep types.
- 2015-2016 classes responsible for 15 current starters (68%) and 9 two deepers.
