Honestly, what’s the difference between the Liberty vs Music City Bowl? I mean, I’d prefer MC but I think it’s about on the same tier.
Liberty isn’t bad. It’s in a good location in Memphis and at least it’s on NYE (the later the bowl game, the better, IMO).
Problem is, Music City would provide a sexier match up.
If Mizzou goes to Liberty.....that would be the third time they’ve played a Big 12 team in four bowl games since joining the SEC. No thanks.
Iowa State? Sure, but Cyclones played there last year so it’s doubtful.
TCU? Whatever.
Oklahoma State? Played them already in Cotton.
Baylor? I guess beating Mack Rhoades would be fun.
Best-case scenario would be West Virginia. Lock vs Grier? Sign me up. But Mizzou and WVU play each other next season.
So do Vanderbilt and Purdue......which could end up in Music City....
